Tirupur: A two-day job fair organised by Joynus.in, a Coimbatore-based firm, on Park’s College premises at Chinnakarai, concluded on Sunday.
The mela evoked overwhelming response as 750 candidates registered their names for the interviews.
Of them, 200 candidates were short-listed for appointment.
In all, 14 companies from Chennai, Coimbatore and Tirupur offered to recruit 400 posts in various capacities.
Notable among them were Tata AIG Life Insurance, Max Newyork Life, Reliance Life Isnurance and Feiyue Technologies India Private Limited. A team led by K. Usha, director, Joynus.in, conducted counselling for students who failed to succeed in the interviews. They explained ‘do’s’ and ‘don’ts’ to be followed while attending interviews at the job fairs, to help the youth come out in flying colours in the future.
The candidates were told to carry at least 20 copies of resumes in neat folders when visiting a job mela.
Punctuality
The youngsters should be punctual, wear conservative professional clothing, and be focused in terms of salary and brand.
