Boy held for killing BBA student

NEW DELHI: A boy has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a girl to death at Rohini here on Friday.

The 17-year-old girl, a first year BBA student at a private educational institute, was found dead in her Sector 7 flat when her parents returned from a nearby market around 7-30 p.m. The victim had multiple stab wounds in the neck, stomach and hands.

Since entry to the flat was friendly, the police suspected involvement of someone known to the victim. A team under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Vikram Porwal interrogated several relatives and friends of the girl and eventually zeroed in on her classmate who lives in the same sector.

During interrogation, the accused purportedly told the police that he shared an intimate relationship with the girl but she had been ignoring him for the past few days. Enraged over her behaviour, he went to her house in the evening when her parents were away and stabbed her to death.
