New Joint Collector of East Godavari takes charge

Kakinada: K. Sasidhar, a 2003 batch IAS officer, took charge as the Joint Collector of East Godavari district on Saturday. He had worked as sub-collector at Rajahmundry earlier and was the Joint Collector of Karimnagar district before his posting here. He is an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Sasidhar said he was committed to render the best services by taking advantage of his familiarity with the district. He would be honest and sincere in discharging his duties and expected the same values from his officers so as to achieve the desired goals. Before that he would study what are the priorities and lay due emphasis on functioning of the Civil Supplies Department and Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) which has Joint Collector as special officer.

He was glued to task of following government instructions but would not be influenced by the powers that be.

Earlier, Mr. Sasidhar had a formal interaction with the Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi.
