Water level

MADURAI: Water level in the Periyar dam on Friday stood at 125 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 610 cusecs and a discharge of 1,368 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 68.73 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,559 cusecs and a discharge of 2,544 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 5,591 mcft.

Sittampatti recorded 67 mm of rainfall followed by Madurai 44.6, Kallandiri 32.2, Mettupatti and Veerapandi 23 mm each, Manjalar dam 21, Sothuparai dam 18, Vaigai dam 16, Pulipatti 15, Melur 7.2, Shanmuganadi 7, Gudalur 5, Sattaiyar dam 3.4, Andipatti 3, Marudhanadi 2 and Peranai 1.6.
