CHENNAI: Putting to rest any doubts about whether the Tamil Nadu Football Association was serious about Vision India’s Tamil Nadu project, the newly elected body has taken the first big step towards setting the ball rolling with the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer. A former Madras University player and the man who runs the Madras Football Club, a third division team, P.K. Madhavan is to be the CEO of the Tamil Nadu project for a two-year term, as per the decision taken by the Executive Committee of the TFA headed by Cleetus Babu. Madhavan, who owns a publishing company, has been associated with various activities of the Chennai Football Association over the years. In a chat, Madhavan said his new responsibility involved not only everything to do with the Vision Tamil Nadu but also marketing, media interaction and other publicity matters. His immediate task will be to get things organised for the Vision Tamil Nadu meeting during the visit of Imtiaz Rehman, Director, Vision Asia, scheduled in the city on September 14 and 15.
