No immersion of idols in water bodies

Guntur district Collector B. Venkatesham on Friday asked people not to immerse idols in drinking water bodies and also not use synthetic colours while immersing Ganesha idols in various ponds. In a statement, he said that there was significant evidence to prove that organic and synthetic colours pollute the water bodies and pose health hazards to human beings and animals alike.
