VISAKHAPATNAM: South Zone left-arm spinner C. Vinod Kumar recorded his second successive five-wicket haul in the ACA under-16 inter-zone tournament for the D.S. Venkateswara Rao trophy at Vizianagaram on Friday. On the first day of the second round-robin match Vinod Kumar’s five for 53 saw Central Zone being restricted to 147. The left-arm spinner picked up five wickets in the first innings and four in the second in the first match against North Zone. K. Krishna Babu’s knock of 46 (6x4) and his 36-run stand for the seventh wicket with D. Harshavardhana Naidu revived Central Zone. South was 37 for one at close in its first innings. The scores: Central Zone 147 in 6\58.1 overs (K. Krishna Babu 46, D. Harshavardhana Naidu 27, C. Vinod Kumar five for 53) vs. South Zone 37 for one in 17 overs. — Special Correspondent
