SWR prevails
BANGALORE: South Western Railway notched up its sixth win, beating ASC Centre 25-22, 25-22, 26-24 in a well-contested match in the State ‘A’ division volleyball league championship at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts, here on Thursday.
Imtiaz and Devanandan put up a gritty display for the winner, while Divyaprasad and Jayarajan kept ASC in the fight.
With this win, SWR shares the top sport with ITI with 14 points. ITI, however, suffered a setback when it lost to Postal 21-25, 20-25, 22-25.
In another tie, MEG defeated Sports Hostel 25-13, 25-10, 25-15. It was MEG’s third win and it has seven points from four outings.
