Katich hopeful of solution to Symonds’s issue

Bangalore: The Australia ‘A’ team skipper Simon Katich expressed the hope that the selection muddle over Andrew Symonds would be sorted out soon.

“Andrew is a nice bloke and it is unfortunate that these things happened. I am hoping that the issues would be resolved and he will get back,” Katich said.

Queried on Symonds’s alleged ‘retirement’ plans, Katich said: “I am not fully aware of what’s happening back home in Australia and would not like to comment on it.” — Principal Correspondent
