Dispur MLA joins Tarun Gogoi Cabinet

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday inducted Dispur MLA Akon Bora (Congress) into his Cabinet. At the Raj Bhavan here, Governor S.C. Mathur administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Bora, who was sworn in Cabinet Minister.

Mr. Bora is also the general secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.

One berth in the Cabinet fell vacant after the former Education Minister, Ripun Bora, was dropped after he was arrested by the CBI on bribery charge.
