Chaitanya PS posts win

HYDERABAD: Chaitanya Public School (Madina) rallied to down Takshashila Public School 9-15, 15-11, 15-6 in a senior boys’ volleyball match of the 10th Kargil Victory sports festival, organised by the Hyderabad YMCA, here.

The results: Volleyball: Junior boys: St. Joseph HS bt Madina HS 15-7, 15-5; Sujatha PS bt Cal PS (ECIL) 15-11, 15-10.

Senior boys: Chaitanya PS bt Takshashila PS 9-15, 15-11, 15-6; St. Joseph’s HS (Malakpet) bt Madina PS 15-3, 15-3.

Kho-kho: Senior boys: Wesley (Nacharam) bt Madina HS 1-0.Junior girls: Anand Jyothi HS bt Shanthi Niketan HS 9-5.

Senior girls: Buds & Flowers bt Cal PS 5-1; Wesley (Nacharam) bt Mamatha HS 10-1; Shanti Niketan bt Anand Jyothi 6-3.

Kabaddi: Senior boys: Obul Reddy HS bt Kendriya Vidyalaya (Dundigal) 36-19; Wesley (Nacharam) bt Mamatha HS 28-7; AP Residential School bt Shanti Niketan 44-13; Junior boys: Sahithya HS bt Cal PS 24-2.

Basketball: Senior girls: Mamatha HS bt St. Joseph’s (Malakpet) 15-7; Rosary Convent bt St. Ann’s (VN Colony) 33-14; Kendriya Vidyalaya bt Sujatha PS 15-5.

AOC in final

AOC Centre recorded a 68-41 win over Andhra Pradesh Police in the semifinals of the Talasani Sandeep Yadav Memorial basketball tournament at the Nehru Nagar playground here.

The scores: AOC 68 (Ranjan 19, British Babu 12, Irfan 10) bt AP Police 41 (Kamal 10, Rose Khan 10).

Chess selections

The Ranga Reddy District Chess Association will organise the State under-17 championship for boys and girls at the Balaji Function Hall (Hayatnagar) from September 5 to 7.

Aquatic trials
