Vinod spins out North

VISAKHAPATNAM: South Zone left-arm spinner C. Vinod Kumar’s five-wicket spell saw North Zone being dismissed for 107 in its first innings on the first day of their three-day round-robin match in the ACA inter-zone under-16 tournament at Vizzy stadium, Vizianagaram, on Monday.

North, however, hit back by reducing South to 38 for four at stumps.

The scores: North Zone 107 in 62 overs (C. Vinod Kumar five for 27) vs. South Zone 38 for four in 30.1 overs. — Special Correspondent
