Two lecturers in police net for faking court orders
Legal Correspondent
Hyderabad: Production of non-existing orders of the High Court led two part-time lecturers into police custody on Monday.
In 2005, V. Venkateswara Rao approached the High Court seeking regularisation of his services and then requested for interim order to continue him in service till the final disposal of writ petition. The court granted interim order to this effect. In 2007, his colleague Ch. Srinivasa Rao produced a similar order and continued in service. One Brahmaiah brought to the notice of the court that there was no case filed by Srinivasa Rao and there was no interim order to continue him. Justice L. Narasimha Reddy called for Srinivasa Rao and questioned him about the order. He informed the court that he requested Venkateswara Rao to help him fetch a similar order and he was given the order copy. Justice Reddy ordered inquiry into the matter. On Monday, the Judicial Registrar recorded the versions of the two persons and the Charminar police were called and given the custody of the two part-time lecturers.
