Volunteers counsel errant drivers

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Around 300 volunteers from different business establishments and voluntary organisations, and employees of corporate companies counselled errant vehicle drivers on traffic rules during Violation Free Day observed by the Traffic Police on Monday.

Colourful banners and placards were also displayed at 70 junctions in twin cities. Focus was laid on following stop line, traffic signals and lane discipline. The Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Co-operative Federation Limited distributed curd cups and other gifts to law-abiding citizens.

Special stickers designed by the Federation were pasted on the vehicles of drivers complying with rules, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) G. Sampath Kumar Reddy.
