No recruitment of aided lecturers

HYDERABAD: The State government has evolved a policy not to take up recruitment of aided lecturers any more.

The government will neither create new posts nor fill up existing vacancies of lecturers in aided degree colleges. There are 2,972 vacancies, Higher Education Minister R. Chenga Reddy stated in the Legislative Council in reply to a question on Monday.

He said the policy was framed on the basis of the report of a nine-member committee which went into the issue.
