‘Rs. 10,000 crore loss to State exchequer’ Party legislators list four types of violations
HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samiti has alleged large-scale irregularities in the allotment of lands around city for IT companies leading to a loss of about Rs. 10,000 crore to the State exchequer.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the Minister of Information Technology, R. Damodar Reddy, the TRS legislators listed out four types of irregularities and violations. They were responding to the Chief Minister’s assurance in the Assembly that action would be initiated if they come up with written document.
At a press conference, T. Harish Rao, TRS legislator, said Stargaze Properties, Indu Techzone, Brahmani Infratech which were allotted 250 acres each at Mamidipally and Raviryal villages, started developing shopping centres, club houses and residential complexes on 100 acres each, even before developing the processing areas.
This was clear real estate activity as the residential complexes were being sold much against the Special Economic Zone rules. These lands were allotted at a nominal rate though the market rate was Rs. 20 crore per acre causing a loss of Rs. 6, 000 crore, he alleged.
