Water released from Nagarjunasagar

HYDERABAD: Water for ayacut under zone two of Nagarjunasagar project was released on Monday by Irrigation Department officials.

In all 8,000 cusecs was released into the left and right canal of the project to irrigate 8.83 lakh acres. The left canal will irrigate over 4 lakh acres in Krishna and Khammam districts while the right canal will supply water to another 4 lakh acres in Prakasam district.
