VISAKHAPATNAM: Hindi Fortnight celebrations were inaugurated at the Headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command here on Monday by the Chief Staff Officer (Personnel and Administration) Commodore Jaywant Korde. A large number of service and civilian personnel from various ships and establishments of the Command attended the function. Several competitions and workshops are scheduled to be conducted during the fortnight with a view to inculcate interest towards the usage of Hindi by Naval and Defence Civilian personnel, in day to day functioning in various offices. Assistant Director (Language) Sharat Chandra Jha of the Ministry of Home Affairs spoke.
