Prabhakaran wins

TIRUCHI: D. Prabhakaran, with 5.5 points from six rounds, won the title in the open category at the chess tournament conducted by the 4 Knights Chess Academy at UDC here on Sunday.

Deepan scores a brace

Deepan Chakravarthy scored a brace as Young Challengers defeated Sporting Youngsters 2-0 in a Tiruchi DFA third division ‘B’ zone football league fixture here on Sunday.

The other match between SIT and Tiruchi union ended in a goalless draw.
