Bank signs MoU with Rotary

CHENNAI: Indian Overseas Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding with Rotary International-District 3230 to disburse loans under differential rate of interest (DRI) to the economically weaker sections engaged in self-employment activities.

Under the MoU, for the IOB-Rotary Sampoorna Scheme, loans would be provided to persons engaged in artisans and vocational activities, including washermen, cobblers and petty traders.

Rotary International District 3230 will identify the beneficiaries who could be provided the loans through its 103 clubs located in Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Vellore and Tiruvannamalai.
