Dancing Dynamite triumphs

Pune: Mr. V.N.Babu’s Dancing Dynamite ridden by Appu won the General Rajendrasinhji Trophy, in a record time of 1m 49.70s, the main event of the races held here on Saturday (Aug. 30). The winner is trained by Mansoor Shah.

Actually this race was won by Antonios (P.Kamlesh up) and Dancing Dynamite finished second. There was an objection raised by jockey Appu against Kamlesh for shifting out in the last 200m and bumping him in the last 20 metres where he had to stop riding and that cost him the race. After a long meeting, the Stewards of the Club declared Dancing Dynamite winner and Antonios was relegated to second position.
