No takers for Govt. sops: Goel

NEW DELHI: To highlight the inability of the Congress Government in Delhi to fulfil promises of regularisation made to the over 40 lakh residents of unauthorised colonies, BJP national general secretary Vijay Goel on Friday organised a unique lollipop demonstration here.

Mr. Goel -- who has called for a major rally on the issue at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, that is expected to be attended by senior party leader L.K. Advani, national president Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu among others -- said the reason behind the unique protest was that the Delhi Government was only dangling lollipops before the people by now issuing worthless “slips” to residents of these colonies.
