VELLORE: T.M. Vijayaraghavalu and R. Chandrasekharan were elected vice-presidents, Susheela Suryaprakash secretary, K. Ulaganathan treasurer and S.N. Janardhanan, Ramesh Kumar Jain, S. Srinivasan, Deenabandu, S. Ilango, Usharani, S. Devikarani and K.A. Liyakath Ali executive committee members of the Indian Red Cross Society, Vellore district branch, for 2008-09 at its general body meeting held here on Wednesday. The following persons have been nominated as executive committee members of the district branch: M. Venkadasubbu, Vasundara Varadarajulu, K. Vimalchand, Kamala Rajasekar, Sasikala Madavan and V.N.T. Suresh.
