Teamwork helped me, says Vijender

NEW DELHI: Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer Vijender Singh on Thursday acknowledged the teamwork that helped him write his name in Indian sports history.

Vijender said his teammates provided moral support to him that boosted him towards Olympics glory. “I am thankful to my federation, coaches and partners. It’s a result of the teamwork,” Vijender said at a function, organised to sign him up as the ‘Youth Icon’ of Bajaj Allianz. — Sports Reporter
