JCT rallies to win
NEW DELHI: JCT overcame a one-goal deficit to tame Sporting Clube-de-Goa 3-1 in a Group I quarterfinal league match of the 121st Osian’s Durand Cup football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.
Lavino Fernandes put Sporting ahead in the 12th minute but Baljit Sahni and Pawan Kumar ensured JCT retired for the break with a one-goal lead. Thirty minutes into the second half Baldeep Singh scored to complete the tally.
In Group II, Tata Football Academy drew goalless with Air-India.
Friday’s matches: Mahindra United v Army XI (2 p.m.), Churchill Brothers v Mumbai FC (4 p.m.).
