Maha Parv at Jain temples

HYDERABAD: The Jain Paryushan Maha Parv celebrations commenced at various Jain temples in twin cities here on Wednesday. During the eight-day celebrations, members of the Jain community, take up fasting and consume food only once in the day.

Special programmes, including rituals, bhajans and discourses are organised everyday in the Jain temples. The Jain monk Rajyash Surishwarji would be delivering discourses on different topics everyday from 9.30 a.m. onwards at Mahaveer Feelkhana Jain Temple.
