Bangalore: All-rounder B. Akhil’s unbeaten 68 (120b, 6x4, 1x6) helped host KSCA XI score 269 for nine in 80 overs against Air India in a KSCA all-India invitation tournament semifinal that commenced at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday. Akhil’s knock anchored an innings that was littered with cameos and marred by a regular fall of wickets. Meanwhile in the other semifinal at the IAF Ground, TNCA scored 163 for one in 46 overs against Gujarat CA. Both the semifinals suffered a delayed start due to overnight rains. The scores (semifinals): KSCA XI 269 for nine in 80 overs (B. Akhil 68 n.o.) vs Air India. TNCA 163 for one in 46 overs (M. Vijay 78, Abhinav Mukund 53 n.o.) vs Gujarat CA.
