Table Tennis
HYDERABAD: The Indian Junior Open will be held at Pune from September 11 to 14, according to S.M. Sultan, Associate Vice President, Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI). The four-day International Table Tennis Federation’s (ITTF) world junior circuit event will be held at the Chatrapathi Shivaji Sports City, Balewadi. Competitions will be held in singles, doubles and team events for boys and girls in the cadet and junior categories. Players born on or after January 1, 1990, are eligible for the junior category and January 1, 1993, is the cut-off date for cadets. The event carries total prize money of $15000. Each competing nation can field half a dozen players in boys and girls sections, with the host country allowed twice that number.
