Nithin Ramakrishnan Nithin Ramakrishnan is hogging the limelight for being one of the youngest filmmakers in the Malayalam film industry. His debut film, “Apoorva”, will hit theatres on September 12. A first year law student at the Government Law College, Thrissur, Nithin’s maiden venture has some of the big names in the industry. Kalabhavan Mani is in the lead role. Recalling his association with the actor, Nithin said he had approached Mani for a work two years ago. “Surprised at my young age, he advised me to first complete my studies. I am grateful to him, as he called me later and gave his dates for Apoorva,” he said. Nithin also surprised senior musician Vidhyadharan Master when he came up with the request to score music for the film. Vidhyadharan Master was also not convinced whether the youngster would be able to do the film. “When he came back for the third time with the request, I accepted it. I was confident that the youngster had the potential to make a movie,” he said. Five songs penned by Pooja Rajesh and Parvathy Warrier will be one of the highlights of the movie. Produced under the banner of Gowri Creations, the movie was made by N. Ramakrishnan and Samson Pachikara. Nithin has also written the script for the film. Jithu handles the camera. G. Krishnakumar
