New Delhi: India’s triumphant campaign in the Asian junior men’s volleyball championship in Tehran continued. India stunned Qatar 3-0 in the first match of the second round. The Indian spikers, who topped group ‘C’ winning all the matches in the preliminary round, faced a tough challenge against Qatar on Tuesday. However, the Indians put up a gutsy show against their strong opponent and bagged the first two sets at the same scoreline of 25-14. The Indians continued to stamp their authority in the third set as well, which they won 25-13 to wrap up the match. In another match, Pakistan beat Australia 3-1 in a closely contested match. India next meets Iran on Wednesday. — PTI
