Sri Krishna wins titles

Coimbatore: Sri Krishna College of Arts and Science clinched both the Bertram Trophy and the Dawn-to-dusk State-level volleyball tournaments in Chennai last week.

By winning the Bertram Trophy, Sri Krishna became the first college from Coimbatore to pocket the volleyball title since the inception of the tournament. It defeated M.A. College (Kochi) 25-18, 31-29, 25-23 in the final.

Later, it upset favourite SRM University (Chennai) 25-20, 20-25, 26-24 in the title clash to lift the State-level tournament at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium in Chennai.
