CPI(M) objects to Chief Minister’s statement
Staff Reporter
Sangareddy: CPI (M) State general secretary B.V. Raghavulu objected to the statement made by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy a day before the commencement of monsoon session of the Assembly for labelling the Opposition as “culprits” for creating road blocks to development.
Addressing mediapersons here on Monday, he opined that Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy who should have utilised the Assembly as a forum for healthy discussion on the development has instead tried to hold the entire Opposition responsible for the failure of the schemes that were launched by him during the past four years.
The CPI(M) leader was here to participate in the ‘maha dharna’ held in front of the district collectorate demanding completion of all pending works in the municipality and also distribution of land for the poor.
Mr. Raghavulu said that his party has never criticised the programmes of the government but always fought against the manner in which they were implemented.
The CPI(M) leader alleged that the Chief Minister is trying to target the Opposition for its failure to provide power to agriculture sector.
