Jaya EC wins
CHENNAI: Jaya Engineering College won the Zone I kabaddi tournament, jointly organised by the Anna University and Sakthi Engineering College recently.
In all 20 Engineering Colleges took part. Magna Engineering College and Velammal Engineering College finished second and third respectively.
Chess classes
The Thiruvallur District Chess Association will conduct classes for children in the age group of 5 to 15 from August 25 at its premises at No. 24, Victory Estate, MTH Road , Thirumullaivoyal. Coaching fee will be Rs. 300 for 15 sessions (5 to 7.30 p.m).
The classes will focus on opening theory, middle game strategy, end-game, problem-solving and the laws of chess.
