Sri Kavitha Engineering College was started in the year 2001 by Mr.Parupalli Kiran Kumar is the first to introduce computer education in Khammam District. This college was situated in a pollution free environment, far away from concrete jungle, in village atmosphere with 240 seats intake for B.Tech in CSE, ECE, IT & EEE in the starting year itself and started M.Tech in ECE and CSE branches and MCA, MBA in the year 2007. Also started M.Tech Software Engineering course from this academic year. 40% of the students got selected in campus interviews in 2007-08 and secured placements in companies like Satyam, Infosiys, Wipro, Birla Soft, IBM, TCS, Accunture, Vijaya Electricals, 5M.tech heads, Sharadha, Assurgent, C-Dac etc. This year they are planning to increase campus recruitments to 50% Facilities Transport facility with own buses. Bus route from Khammam and Illendu and Railway pass facility for Kothagudem and Dornakal students. To conduct online exam for 480 students at a time Plasma computer with internet facility For the sake of poor students, they are implementing book bank scheme in which books will be given for all subjects till the completion of course with a nominal fee. Collecting special fee lesser than the govt. approved and implementing free lunch to all the students.
