VIJAYAWADA: As many as 11 special trains are being operated by the Vijayawada division of the South Central Railway to Tirupati for the maiden public meeting of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi on August 26. While two trains will leave from Anakapalle, three are from Kakinada and one each is from Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Narasapur, Chirala and Ongole. All trains will leave on the evening of August 25. The trains will return from Renigunta to their destinations on the night of August 26, immediately after the completion of the public meeting. In all, the railways are operating 16 special trains from different parts of the State for the meeting. Meanwhile, to clear the extra rush of commuters, a special train between Secunderabad and Kakinada would be operated on August 22 and 23. The train (700) would leave Secunderabad at 10.30 p.m. on August 22 and reach Kazipet at 12.40 a.m. the next day, Khammam at 3.01 a.m. and Vijayawada at 4.45 a.m., before reaching Kakinada at 8.50 a.m. In the return direction, the train (701) would leave Kakinada town station at 7.30 p.m. and reach Vijayawada at 12.45 a.m. the next day. It would reach Secunderabad at 8 a.m. The special train consists of 13 sleeper coaches, two general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans.
