Winners of Sanskrit contests

TIRUCHI: The annual Sanskrit music, elocution and other competitions for school and college students organised by the Samskrita Sahitya Parishad here recently evoked a good response.

The following are the winners of various sections:

Kalabairavashtagam (for students of classes I – V): 1. L. Srikrishna (Sri Jayendra Matriculation HSS), 2. V. S. Dhanya (Chinmaya Vidyalaya) and R. Pradyumana (Mahatma Gandhi Centenary Vidyalaya – MGCV)), 3. S. Priyadharshini (Chinmaya Vidyalaya).

Subramaniya Bhujangam (for students of classes VI to VIII): 1. E. Poorna Pushkala (Girls HSS, Srirangam); 2. K. Vignesh (MGCV), S. Suganthi Priya (Savitri Vidyasala Girls HSS).

Kumar Sambhavam (classes IX and VII): 1. S. Gayathri, V. Bhavapriya and 3. K. Nethura (all Savitri Vidyasala).

Bhagavat Geeta (college students): 1. Pavitra (Shrimati Indira Gandhi College-SIGC), 2. Muthulakshmi (Raja’s College, Tiruvaiyaru) and Dharani (Kaveri College).

Vallabanayakasya (class I to V): 1. S. Jayabhargavi (MGCV); 2. V. Padmavathi and 3. G. Prashanthi (both Sri Akilandeswari Vidyalaya).

Sri Saraswathi Namasthute (VI - VIII): 1. G. Mahati (Sri Akilandeswari) and S. Vaishnavi (Kamakoti Vidyalaya); 2. S. Suganthi Priya (Savitri Vidayasala); 3. M. Aruna (MGCV).

Sri Varalakshmi Namasthubhyam (IX – XII): S. Jayamathangi (MGCV); 2. R. Saranayaki (Savitri Vidyasala); 3. J. Srisahana (MGCV).

Mamavatu Shri Saraswathi (college students): 1. J. Ragunathan (Sri Renganatha Paduka Vidyalaya, Srirangam); 2. S. Rajarajeswari and 3. S. Manjula (both SIGC).

Elocution: 1.S. Mythreye (Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College); 2. Sri Balaje and 3 M. Srinivasan (both Sri Ranganatha Paduka Vidyalaya).
