Submit annual returns, employers told

TIRUNELVELI: Employers of the revenue districts of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari, who are yet to submit annual returns to Regional PF Commissioner should submit the same before August 31, Regional PF Commissioner - II K. Prasant has said.

In a statement, he said that under the provisions of the Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 and the Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995, all employers covered under the Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 should have submitted annual returns in Form 3A and 6A for the year 2007 – 2008 to the Regional PF Commissioner, Tirunelveli on or before April 30, 2008. Though the deadline is well over, many establishments are yet to submit the annual returns, leading to inconveniences to the organization as well as subscribers. All employers are requested to submit the said returns in floppy along with a hard copy on or before August 31 to avoid prosecution proceedings. The returns can be submitted through electronic form also and the structure of the same may be downloaded from the website of the organization www.epfindia.nic.in or www.epfochennai.tn.nic.in
