RVM has it easy

HYDERABAD: Rajashree Vidya Mandir defeated St. Michael’s School 15-9, 15-12 in the boys’ preliminary round of the 20th Regal Sports inter-school volleyball tournament organised by Musheerabad Sports Association here on Wednesday.

The results:

Boys: St. Joseph’s HS (Malakpet) bt St. Augustin HS 15-10, 15-12; Abyes High School bt St. Joseph’s HS (King Koti) 15-10, 10-15, 15-12.

St. Joseph’s HS ‘A’ bt AECS (ECIL) 15-7, 15-13; Rajashree Vidya Mandir bt St. Michael’s HS 15-9, 15-12. Girls: St. Joseph’s HS (Malakpet) bt St. Philomina ‘B’ 15-12, 15-8; St. Pious HS ‘B’ bt DAV Safilguda 15-3, 15-5; KV Begumpet bt St. Pious HS ‘A’ 10-15, 15-10, 15-5.

St. Philomina ‘A’ bt Rajashree Vidya Mandir 15-13, 16-14; Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan bt Holy Family School 12-15, 15-9, 15-2.

CM’s praise for Sushil

Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy congratulated wrestler Sushil Kumar on winning a bronze medal in the Beijing Olympics.

In a message here, Dr. Reddy said Sushil deserved all the kudos and he had done the whole nation proud. “I wish him many more laurels in future,” he added.
