TIRUNELVELI: Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Day was celebrated here on Wednesday.

At a function held at St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, District Collector G. Prakash distributed prizes to winners of various competitions conducted as part of the celebrations.

Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, F. Abdul Razick, Rev. Fr. Alphonse Manickam SJ, principal, St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, C. John Kennedy, Department of Physics, St. John’s College, Palayamkottai, G. Ganapthi Subramanian, Project Officer, National Green Corps, Sankar Higher Secondary School, Sankar Nagar spoke. Earlier, District Revenue Officer G. Srinivasan flagged off a rally by students from VOC Grounds, Palayamkottai.
