Rajiv Gandhi remembered

Floral tributes paid and communal harmony pledge taken

For peace: Government employees taking a communal harmony pledge to mark the observance of Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary in Udhagamandalam on Wednesday. —

Udhagamandalam: Floral tributes were paid to the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at a function organized here on Wednesday by the Nilgiris District Congress Committee.

The President of the Committee R.Ganesh presided.

Among those present at the function were the Udhagamandalam MLA B.Gopalan and the President of the Udhagamandalam unit B.K.G.Kempiah.

A function was also organized under the aegis of the National Service Scheme unit of the Emerald Heights College for Women at Finger Post near here.

A communal harmony pledge was administered to the participants.
