BIJAPUR: Members of the Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Tuesday urging him to take stringent action against the persons arrested in Bijapur in connection with the recent bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad. They alleged that those arrested were using Bijapur as a hideout to carry out their operations in the north Karnataka region. A memorandum addressed to Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa was submitted to Deputy Commissioner C.M Shirol. The agitation was led by ABVP city secretary Shrimant Katti.
