BANGALORE: Reigning champion Karnataka State Police (KSP) was too good for Jindal Sports Club and scored an easy 25-22, 25-16, 25-19 win, in the opening fixture of the 15th Karnataka State ‘A’ division volleyball league championship which got underway here on Monday. Twelve teams are in the fray in this month-long championship, with the top four teams advancing to the knockout stage. The top eight from this league will figure in the Association Cup tournament to be played later. Other results: Army Service Corps bt Indian Telephone Industries 26-28, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21; CIL bt Sports Hostel (Bangalore) 25-23, 25-17, 25-23.
