Regional workshop on scientific writing

PUDUKOTTAI: The National Council for Science and Technology Communication of the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, Bharathidasan University, J.J. College of Arts and Science here, and the M. T. S. Academy, Chennai, will jointly organise a five-day eighth regional workshop on scientific writing in Tamil on the J. J. College premises from August 27.

The objective is to popularise science and technological aspects to all public, especially the rural masses in their native language through science communicators. Eminent scientists and science communicators from New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai will be the resource persons. About 50 students drawn from various colleges will be sensitised to issues in scientific writing so that they can convey scientific information to the public at large, a press release said.
