Fatally knocked down

A van hit by a bus, rammed into a moped and killed two persons riding it here late last night on Nilambur-Madukkarai Bypass Road.

According to police, A. Thangavel (46), who rode the moped, died on the spot. His wife, Dhanabaghyam, and daughter, Krithika, were injured. Dhanabaghyam died on way to hospital. Krithika was admitted to a private hospital.
