Gauri moves up
BANGALORE: Gauri defeated Prathima Udupa 21-19, 12-21, 21-1 and entered the veteran women’s singles quarterfinals in the M.S. Ramaiah Anandashram senior badminton championship at the Prakash courts, here on Saturday.
Eliza Tommy and Sujatha also made the quarterfinals.

Veterans singles:
Pre-quarterfinals: Sujatha bt Saroja Mani 21-12, 21-9; Eliza Tommy bt Lalitha 21-8, 21-11; Gauri bt Prathima Udupa 21-19, 12-21, 21-1.
‘A’ div. volleyball
The Karnataka Volleyball Association will conduct the ‘A’ division championship for men and women at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts, here from August 18 to September 15.
Twelve teams in the men’s section and 10 in the women’s section will participate in the tournament.
