Alleged suicide by woman

CHENNAI: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by resorting to self-immolation at Jafferkhanpet here on Friday.

Police said S.Gracy (24) residing at Annai Sathya Nagar took the extreme step, following a heated argument with her husband K. Sevam (27). She used kerosene to set herself ablaze around midnight. The victim was admitted to the Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital where she succumbed.

The MGR Nagar police have registered a case.
