BANGALORE: Army School overpowered Sarla Devi School 9-0 in the Dr. G.S Randhawa Memorial inter-School hockey tournament, here on Wednesday. Sunil scored four goals (fifth, sixth, eighth & 49th minutes including a hat-trick) and was ably supported by Achaya (11th), Bony Marshal (12th), Milan (16th), Subbaiah (44th) and CU Bopanna (46th). Kendriya Vidyalaya (DRDO) defeated Government School (Hoskote) 6-2 with Ravi Kumar (eighth and 12th) and Danish (27th and 39th) logging a brace apiece. Deepak (24th) and Akshay (45th) rounded off the tally for KV DRDO. Vinay (20th) and Varun (21st) scored for the loser. In the third fixture, Rashtriya Military School beat Rama Krishna School 3-0. Vinay Kesri (45th), Sandeep (50th) and Ravi Bismai (54th) scored for the winning side. Infosys (BPO) blanks EMCInfosys (BPO) blanked EMC 3-0 to lift the Champions Trophy inter-corporate football tournament organised by InterAction at the St. John’s Medical College ground here. In the Premier Trophy, Dell edged past Firepro Systems 2-1, while Microsoft downed Philips, also by a 2-1 margin, for the Classic Cup. In the Interaction Cup, TCS defeated Sheris 2-1. Goldman Sacha won the Fairplay Trophy, while Jayanth of Infosys (BPO) was the top-scorer of the tournament. Dennis (Dell) was adjudged Player of the Tournament. ADE posts winADE defeated HASC 3-2 in a State veterans football tournament match here on Wednesday. Jayaraj, Suresh Kumar and G. Suresh scored for the victor while Lawrence and Paul scored for HASC.
