Man run over

NEW DELHI: An elderly man was run over by a chartered bus on the Bus Rapid Transit corridor at Defence Colony here on Monday.

Fifty-three-year-old Mohan Hari, a native of Mumbai, was standing on the divider waiting to cross the road when the bus ran him over, the police said. The bus dragged the victim along for some distance before coming to a halt.

Mohan was taken to All-India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared brought dead. The bus driver, Rameshwar, has been arrested and the bus impounded.

Hari had come to the Capital a fortnight ago and was staying with his relative at Sadiq Nagar.
