NEW DELHI: Three young men including a Bangladeshi national have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police for allegedly printing and circulating counterfeit currency notes. The police claim to have seized Rs.1.05 lakh in fake notes of Rs.500, 100 and 50 denominations.
Acting on a tip-off that three persons supplying fake notes would come to Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van near Sarai Kale Khan on Sunday, the Crime Branch sleuths sent a decoy to strike a deal. Soon after the deal was struck, the police arrested the accused. They were identified as Mohammad Subhan, Nayeem and Suhail, a Bangladeshi national.
