Tendulkar to miss ODIs

COLOMBO: Sachin Tendulkar will miss the ODI series against Sri Lanka because of an elbow injury. He will soon return to India, team manager T.C. Matthew said.

Tendulkar injured his left elbow while attempting a catch on the second day of the third Test. In the second innings, he came out to bat with a bandaged elbow and scored just 14.

The first of five ODI matches will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Aug. 18. — AP
